#MeatlessMonday is a global movement to cut out meat for one day a week to improve public health and protect the environment. By adopting the practice of going meatless one day a week, you can decrease your carbon footprint and reduce the risk of chronic preventable conditions like heart disease.
The #MeatlessMonday practice has now been brought to the Delray Beach community, courtesy of a group of inspiring third graders from S.D. Spady Elementary School. Delray Beach Mayor Cary Glickstein recently met with these student leaders to discuss everything from healthy habits to making a positive impact on the environment.
We encourage you to join fellow WiseTribers and be a part of the change by adopting the practice of going meatless on Mondays. Be sure to use the #1000WTs and #MeatlessMonday hashtags in your social media posts.
